Keith 0 v Lossiemouth 2
MAROONS DRAW ANOTHER BLANK
Visitors Lossiemouth completed the league double over Keith leaving the Maroons stuck in second bottom spot in the league table, as the homesters failed to find the back of the net for the fourth successive game.
Although they had six first team regulars absent from the starting line up, Keith still failed to show any urgency in the firing line, and last bulged the old onion bag in the first minute against Deveronvale at the beginning of the month.
There was nothing between the sides until seven minutes from half-time when Lewis Coull hauled down Ryan Morrison inside the penalty area and Adam McLeod made no mistake with the resultant spot kick.
Although the home side started the second half on the front foot they were stung in the 61st minute when Lossiemouth substitute Fraser Forbes slotted the ball home with his first touch. That effectively killed off Keith’s chances of a comeback although Elphinstone saw a netbound shot blocked late on, the ball eventually screwing out for a fruitless corner.
KEITH – Reid, Killoh, Wilson (McKeown 66), Addison, Coull, Hutcheon (Brownie 66), Elphinstone, Yeats, Tough (Cumming 79), Yunus, Duncan. Subs unused – Ironside, Robertson, Irvine.
Referee – Mr G Seago
